Scopwick and Kirkby Green Parish Council has a vacancy for a Parish Clerk and Proper Officer to start as soon as possible. 36 hours per month - £21,695-£24,432 pro rata

If you are an experienced administrator with good communication and organisational skills you might be the ideal person for the job!

This is an exciting post for a community orientated individual who would like to make a difference to our community and feel as though they are contributing positively to our quality of life.

You will be responsible for the overall administration of the Council’s business including; implementing Council decisions & policies; attending and administering Council and Committee meetings; maintaining up to date financial records; preparation of annual budget; completion of annual audit and return; maintenance of the council’s website and management of all communications with the council.

You will be expected to work from home and a flexible approach is essential as demand fluctuates throughout the month and you will be required to attend occasional evening meetings.  Applicants will be self-motivated, highly organised and committed to delivering excellent customer service to the residents of Scopwick and Kirkby Green.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in a customer facing role and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will also ideally possess excellent administrative, organisational and IT skills. The formal CiLCA qualification would be an advantage, although support to achieve the qualification will be provided on completion of one year’s service.
