Playing Field Committee

The Playing Field Committee is a sub-committee of Scopwick and Kirkby Green Parish Council.

The regulations that govern how the Committee operates are set out in the Standing Orders (which can be accessed here)

The Committee is responsible for the management and fund raising for Scopwick Playing Field. 

Through fund raising and grants from local businesses the Committee raised over £50,000 to develop the play equipment area of the Planing Field.  Future plans include replacement goal posts, a new bin and netting to prevent balls being lost in the hedgerow.

The Committee is Chaired by a Parish Councillor (Cllr David Nelson) and voluntary members (currently Mrs Jill Moran, Mrs Rosa Nelson, Mrs Jane Drury (Treasurer), Mrs Tracey Fenwick, Mr Mark Ddriver and Mr Neil Gridley).

 All meetings are minuted by the Parish Clerk and meetings are open to the public.  Meeting papers are published on the website (and can be accessed here).  Cllr Nelson provides a report from the Committee at each Parish Council meeting.
