Scopwick and Kirkby Green Parish Council has an active Community Speed Watch group who work with Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership to improve road safety through the villages.  This includes an active group of trained volunteers who operate a mobile handheld speed watch device to monitor traffic in areas of high risk (activity currently suspended due to Covid-19 restrictions) and a fixed speed monitoring device that is moved between Heath Road and the B1188.  Data from the fixed device is collated and reported to the Parish Council and can be found below.  Results of the mobile handheld device are submitted to LRSP to monitor traffic and support future highways development (such as the current consultation on reducing the speed limit through the village from 40mph to 30mph).

If you are interested in becoming a trained volunteer member of Community Speed Watch please contact the Parish Clerk (clerkscopwick@gmail.com)
