Scopwick and Kirkby Green Playing Field Committee
Minutes of the online meeting held on the 20th October 2020
1. Present: David (Chairman), Rosa, Jane, Mark, Guy, Jill, Jules (Parish Clerk).

David welcomed everyone to the meeting
2. Minutes
Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on the 27th July 2020 were approved by the Chairman
3. Update on Play Equipment Works
Jules gave an update on progress of phase 1 (toddler tower, play cabin, climbing frame and trim trail bridge). Work expected to be completed by 23rd October. Jill will do a safety check on Friday to ensure park is safe to be used.
The group agreed that 4 bags of bark will be needed for the toddler area. Jules to order once Jill has provided details of quote.
4. Roles and Responsibilities
Jill agreed to continue with play park inspections.
5. Fundraising
The group discussed future fundraising. This would need to comply with current Covid restrictions. Village Hall restricted to 15 people so group agreed that this would not be suitable. The group agreed that a fundraising event could be held over the winter (Scopwick Ramble) and then to launch the new play park equipment next Spring. Preferred date Sunday 13th December 2020. Consider putting gazebo up for refreshments and information about playing field plans.
Guy will do main overview (route, refreshments, gazebo and rough outline) and send to David within the next week to establish a working party.
6. Next Meeting Date and Agenda Items
Next meeting agreed to agree Scopwick Ramble event plans 10th November 2020, 7pm via Zoom.
Additional item for next meeting – ideas for football field. Mark to research goalposts for next meeting. Jill to request contractors leave soil taken out for footings as could be used for filling holes in playing fields.
